Tempy Jean Farmer
80, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord, June 23, 2009 at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was born February 19, 1929 in Swain, Arkansas, the daughter of Pleas and Betty Young Thomas.
She attended the Prairie Grove Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thearn Joe Farmer, one son, Jerry Lynn Farmer Sr., two daughters, Virginia Pitcher Vowell and Helen Joan Farmer, one grandson, Jerry “Tiger” Farmer Jr., one great granddaughter, Natalia Farmer.
Survivors include three sons, Jamie Farmer of Lowell, Arkansas, Ricky Farmer of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Garrett Farmer of Springdale, Arkansas; four daughters, Betty Kincaid of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Faye Hamblen of Farmington, Arkansas, and Linda McCarver of Lowell, Arkansas; two sisters, Virgie Lee of Lincoln, Arkansas and Fern David of Herman, Missouri. Eighteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 1:00-5:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 29, 2009 - 10:00 A.M. at the Prairie Grove Christian Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Vance Eubanks officiating with burial in National Cemetery Fayetteville, Arkansas. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Michael Pitcher, Jay McCarver, Chris Farmer, Gary Hamblen, Rusty Farmer, T.J. Farmer, Kevin Morton and Skyler Branch.
