Geneva Hazel Faulkner, 87, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died July 13, 2008 at the Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born May 28, 1921 in the Good Luck Community in Madison County, Arkansas, the daughter of The Reverend Benner Elbert and Hannah Margaret Drake Davis. She was a devoted Christian, talented singer and a member of the Living Water Baptist Church in Huntsville. She was the widow of Garland Faulkner who preceded her in death on May 14, 1999 after fifty-seven years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Paul Faulkner, four brother, Otto Davis, Elijah Osco "Bud" Davis, Benjamin Loyd Davis and Claude Fay Davis, three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Smith, Myrtha Lee Counts and Bertha Gladys Powell and by one grandson, Matthew Gifford.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Judy Faulkner of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Gary and Wanda Faulkner of Huntsville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and James Gray of Huntsville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Thursday, July 17, at the Living Water Baptist Church in Huntsville with The Reverends Darrell Foulk and Loy Counts officiating. Interment will be in the Drakes Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Anthony Faulkner, Stephen Faulkner, Ben Gifford, Perry Faulkner, Gary Lynn Faulkner, Jr., Karl Haws, Tommy McCollough and Loren Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be: Gerald Ham, Jim Owens, Hank Sargent, Charles Gurley, Charles Coger, James Gray and the men of Living Water Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
