86, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away August 18, 2004 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born August 5, 1918 in Forkland, Alabama the daughter of John Dunn and Jessie Klie Carney Glover.
She was a devoted military wife, who supported her husband in his Air Force missions all across the world and lovingly raised their children during his frequent absences. She was an avid reader and acrostic crossword solver. She valued education and saw life as a time to continually learn and improve the mind. She was past president and member of the Prairie Grove School Board and Librarian at the Prairie Grove Public Library. She was active in many community and civic organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brig. Gen. Harry A. French USAF (Retired) and an infant son, Charles Richard French.
Survivors include one son, Harry A. ?Hank? French Jr. of the home; two daughters, Suzanne French Farrell of Billerica, Massachusetts and Mary Bartholomew and her husband, Steve of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one sister, Zodie DeMoville Glover Stier of Prattville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Nicholas Farrell of Billerica, Massachusetts, Colt Bartholomew and Brea Bartholomew both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
