Zed Dixon
Age 90, a resident of Prairie Grove, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born October 24, 1927 in Russellville, Arkansas, the son of Zed and Oda Hayes (Parker) Dixon.
Zed served in the United States Army. He along with his wife Barbara owned and operated the Bee Hive Cafe' in Prairie Grove for sixteen years. He was a faithful member and servant at Centerpoint Church of God for several years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was well known and loved for the music he lived by and played. He was the finest steel guitar player around and brought joy to many with that steel.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Bartholomew Dixon, his parents, one brother Max Dixon, three sisters Betty, Catherine and Dixie and one son Glen Goodhart.
Survivors include two sons Richard Dixon and wife Brigitte of Ramsen, Germany and Roger Dixon; three daughters Cleta Goodhart and Cindy Brock both of Prairie Grove and Laurie Inge of Oregon; twenty-one grandchildren Melissa Haley, Charisa Mast, Nolan Dexter, Cheri Dexter, Doug Brock, Barbara Goodhart, Patricia Summerfield, Cindy Hall, Daniel Dixon, David Dixon, Sarah Dixon, Danny Dixon, Amy Dixon, Kevin Dixon, Shannon Dixon, Mathew, Rachel, Crystal Goodhart, Rachel Goodhart, Justin Goodhart and Chad Goodhart and several great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 26th, 2018, at Centerpoint Church of God in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.
