He was preceded in death by his wife Penny Franklin and his parents.

Survivors include two sons Tracy Frankin and wife Angelia and Heath Franklin and wife Vicki one daughter Sheri Nay and husband Bill; two step sons Gary Shappell and wife Karen and Joshua Scates and wife Orva; one step daughter Rhonda Hulse; two sisters Deane McAdoo and Gwen Smith; twenty three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 3, 2017, 2:00-4:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
