Nona Mae Nash Curtsinger
94 a resident of Farmington passed away April 10, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. She was born March 6, 1921 in Lincoln, the daughter of Frank and Susie Ellen Taylor Nash.
She was raised in Rhea's Mill, attended the Rhea's Mills School and spent her summers picking cotton in Oklahoma and Texas. She married Henry Jefferson Curtsinger on October 13th 1937 in Reno, Nevada. They were both welders in the ship yards during the war. After the war they moved back to Prairie Grove and purchased a farm. Henry was a building contractor, operated a dairy and raised chickens while Nona Mae worked at Campbell Soup in Fayetteville for around 40 years. They raised two sons there before retiring and moving to Farmington. Her hobbies were antiquing, trading jewelry, traveling and going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, one sister and one daughter in law.
She is survived by her two sons Troy Curtsinger of Prairie Grove and Bill Curtsinger and wife Erma of Lamar, Missouri; seven grandchildren Debbie, Kandy, Carla, Barrett, Hank, Scott and John; eighteen great grandchildren and twenty four great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 1:00 P.M. at Luginbuel with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to Hope Cancer Resources.
Pallbearers will be: Hank Curtsinger, Barrett Curtsinger, Scott Curtsinger and John Curtsinger
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Lance Besendorfer, Chris Besendorfer, Skylar Besendorfer, Shawn Guiheen, Tim Guiheen, Reno Curtsinger, Ryan Cook, Jarrett Curtsinger, Ethan Curtsinger and Dalton Curtsinger.
