Henry Cecil "Cotton" Cantrell

74 a resident of West Fork, Arkansas, passed away January 20, 2006 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born November 9, 1931 at Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the son of Henry Roby and Bessie May Keck Cantrell.

Cotton was self-employed, including heavy equipment, carpentry and a home builder. He was a former Mayor of West Fork, served in the Army and Air Force, and was a member of the American Legion. Cotton retired from the West Fork School System as a Maintenance Supervisor after seventeen years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a 32-degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and two sisters, Mable Setser and Jean Porter.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Cantrell of the home; one son, C. Douglas Cantrell and his wife Lori D. of West Fork, Arkansas; four daughters, Debra K. Wilson and husband David R. of Hogeye, Arkansas, Donna E. Cantrell of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Delores Jean Johnston and her husband Herbie S. of Norwood, Missouri, and Denise R. Channel and her husband, Chris C. of Springdale, Arkansas; one sister, Peggy B. Cantrell of Knoxville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Cassandra Johnston, Nathan Cantrell, Madison Cantrell, Tyler Dewitt, and Kennedy Channel and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, coffee shop buddies and bluegrass friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 23, 2005 - 10:00 A.M. at the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Arkansas by Bro. Glen Faulkner. Burial will follow at the Bug Scuffle Cemetery near Strickler, Arkansas.

In Lieu of Flowers, a memorial fund will be established at the West Fork Public School.

Pallbearers will be Doyle Baker, Harley Prater, Jack Cunningham, David Wilson, Herbie Johnston, Chris Channel, Tince Bartholomew, and Bud Baker.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Omer Hodges, Mitch McCorkle, Jim Cornelius, Butch Bartholomew, Melvin Skelton, Sam Caudle, David Fochtman, Clarence Duncan, Darius Mullins, Buford Baker and the rest of the coffee shop crew.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
