Gladys Nora Caselman, age 94, passed from this life Wednesday September 21stin
Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born September 7th 1917 at Hazel Valley, Arkansas.
She was the daughter of John and May Schader Skelton. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her parents and three brothers Lee Skelton, Frank Skelton and Burl Skelton.
She is survived by son, Randall and wife Georgia of Bella Vista; three very special grandchildren Karen McGee and husband Greg, Kathy Chappell and husband Ed and Keith Caselman and wife Ana, all of Farmington. Gladys had eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; one sister, Maggie Watts of Springdale and brother-in-law Robert Caselman of Southern California as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys and Arthur moved to Fayetteville from Hazel Valley in 1947, then to Farmington in 1973. They celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary before his death in February 2010.
Gladys and Arthur were among the original members of the Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville where she taught Bible Class and exercised her spiritual gift of service to others. Grandma Gladys was best known for her hospitality. Many will recall with fondness sitting around her table enjoying good food and fellowship.
Her memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, September 26 at the Center Street Church of Christ with Jack English and Robb Hadley officiating.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday, September 25 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery.
