Williamson County, Tennesse
After grandfather Frederick and father Jeremiah's death, and the rape of sister Mary and the subsequent deaths of brothers Nathan and Jeremiah, the family left Williamson County, Tennessee, for northwest Arkansas. They were accompanied by Frederick's only remaining son Samuel and daughter Elizabeth and their families. Will settled in northwest Arkansas. The rest of the family continued on to Texas, and some on to Arizona.

Elmer Ezell told L D Ezell that Will had a scar on his forehead and a gunshot wound in his knee, supposedly Civil War wounds (but L D wondered if they were from incidents surrounding Mary's attack and Nathan's and Jerry's deaths) (s.127).
