George Lee Whitehouse
84 a resident of Morrow, Arkansas, passed away November 15, 2010 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born December 12, 1925 at Odell, Arkansas, the son of Elmer A. and Ruthie Mae Rather Whitehouse.
George worked at Cudahy Packing Company in Wichita, Kansas until 1976 then he moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he continued to work for Cudahy until 1983 when he retired and moved back to Arkansas. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a craftsman and loved to garden.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hammontree Whitehouse; five sisters, Floy Gulley, Vera Erickson, Norah Drain, Annie Ethel McNeely, and Dorothy Pearl Whitehouse; two brothers, Floyd Dee Whitehouse and Roy Dean Whitehouse.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lee and Georgia Annette Whitehouse of Morrow, Arkansas; one sister, Clydena Reeves of Lincoln, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2010 - 10:00 A.M. at Cemetery Hill Cemetery in Farmington, Arkansas with Eugene Owens officiating.
