Ruby Ellen Gibney
89, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away December 29, 2006, at her home in Prairie Grove. She was born January 11, 1917, at West Fork, Arkansas the daughter
of James William and Nellie McClelland Phillips.
Ruby was a member of the Eastern Star. She and her husband Ernest lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked for American Airlines until his retirement. They both had a great love of traveling and made many trips throughout the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ernest Gibney, one son, Jimmy Charles Gibney; two brothers, Lloyd William Phillips and Clarence Phillips; three sisters, Nellie Irene Bryan Bartlett, Sylvia Bell Blakemore Hamilton and Louella Cate.
Survivors include two sons, William Dale Gibney, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Michael Wayne Gibney of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007-2:00 P.M. at the Little Elm Missionary Baptist Church, Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with brother Jeff Hart and brother Glen Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Gary Gibney, Larry Blakemore, Mark Cate, Aaron Gibney, Lonnie Blakemore, and Robbie Gibney.
