Friends and family of Hugh Remington will gather at Luginbuel Chapel, Prairie Grove, Arkansas on Monday, August 15th at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate the life and memories of Hugh Remington.
Hugh Remington, 92 of Rogers Arkansas, passed away August 11, 2011 at the home of his daughter Barbara Johnson, near Rogers, Arkansas. Mr. Remington had been staying with the Johnsons for the last two weeks. Until this time, Mr. Remington had maintained his independence and lived in the home that he and Mrs. Remington had shared until her passing in 2009.
The youngest of the eleven children of Will Myron and Laura Millie Sharp Remington, Mr. Remington was born April 16, 1919 in Fort Gibson, Oklahom
Mr. Remington was a veteran of World War II and after he had completed his military obligation he married Eleanor Mae Hamilton on April 1, 1947 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Mrs. Remington preceded him in death on July 4, 2009 after sixty-two years of marriage.
Other than his wife and parents, Mr. Remington was preceded in death by brothers, Myron, George, Horace, Elmer, Cecil, Chester, Dean, Frank, Richard and one sister, Laura Louise Duckett.
Survivors include his son, Paul Dean Remington and wife Alice of West Fork and his daughter Barbara Johnson and husband Norman of Rogers.
Mr. Remington is also survived by sister-in-laws Faye Remington and Nona Ritchie both of Prairie Grove as well as six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
