Elmer Elvin Omohundro
95, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Fayetteville. He was born July 31, 1925 in Lincoln, Arkansas the son of William Oliver and Ruth Mugley Omohundro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Omohundro; a daughter, Rona Nixon and two brothers, Rosco Omohundro and Elmo Omohundro.
He was an employee of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, retiring after 34 years. He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1943 to 1945.
He is survived by two daughters, Jackie Barrett and Annie Johnson; five grandchildren, Hope Hale, Shane Barrett, Mandy Peoples, Brandon Barrett and Sherrie Lerz; a sister, Eva Sue Lynch and husband Jim; thirteen great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Sunday January 24, 2021 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Monday at Moore’s Chapel. There will be a private burial at Baptist Ford Cemetery.
