Zella Mae Nations
90, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away June 25, 2006 at the City Hospital in Fayetteville. She was born March 10, 1916 at Strickler, Arkansas, the daughter of James Graham and Della Florence Secrist English.
Zella grew up near Strickler, Arkansas, and married Carl Nations in 1937. They lived in Arizona for several years while their children were young. They returned back to this area where Zella worked at Baldwin Piano until her retirement. She continued to work after her retirement at the Farmington Elementary School serving meals to students until she was 82 years old. Zella was a member of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthern Matron at one time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Nations.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Nations of Farmington, Arkansas, and Morris Nations of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one daughter, Dolores Barr of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; four sisters, Roxie Miller of Strickler, Arkansas, Violet Nations of Lowell, Arkansas, Martha Blakemore and Joy Bartholomew both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Sandra Perry, Steven Nations, James Edens, Kathy Keck, Lisa Luke, Mary Ann Howard; thirteen great grandchildren;
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2006 - 10:00 A.M. the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Justin Ledbetter Officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Huland Nations, James Miller, Keith Blakemore, Graham Nations, Doug Bartholomew, Steve Nations and Jeff Perry.
