L.L. Johnson
was born October 16, 1863 at Hannon, Missouri.
He married Lizzie Boster, April 15, 1883. They were the parents of nine children.
Johnson was converted and joined a Baptist church when he was about 30-year old. Soon after, he was ordained to the ministry by Hog Creek Baptist Church in Texas County, Missouri.
A few years later, he moved with his family to Washington County, Arkansas where he lived until he died on November 24, 1934. He served effectively both as a missionary and moderator for the Fayetteville Baptist Association
He also was missionary in the 1906-1912 period, he reported 649 professions of faith and 503 baptisms as a result of his evangelistic labors.
Churches of the Fayetteville Baptist Association he pastored included Apostolic, Center Point, Friendship, Goshen, Liberty, Mt. Pisgah, Mt. Vernon, New Hope, Oakland, Prairie View, Spring Creek, Springdale and Spring Valley.
