Betty Ruth Walker
86 a resident of Farmington, passed away June 19, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born November 25, 1929 at Prairie Grove, the daughter of Jasper Monroe and Laura Pearl Hooper Neal.
She worked side by side with her husband Charles "Russell" Walker on their farm, where they raised four children. She was a member of the Main Street Farmington Baptist Church. She was a member of the Bethel Grove Extension Homemakers for more than fifty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her youngest daughter Barbara Woody, her parents, and all seven brothers, Gaylan, Howard, Carl, Wayne, Kenneth, Junior, and J.C. Neal.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Walker and wife BeAnn of Prairie Grove, and Donald Walker and wife Sheroll of Fayetteville; one daughter, Candes Wilson and husband Jim of Fayetteville; one son-in-law, Clay Woody of Farmington; nine wonderful grandchildren, Doug, Brian, and Eric Walker, Jessica Walker Nohl, David Wilson, Laura Wilson Caplena, Jeremy Woody, Kara Woody Lewis, and Andrew Woody; twenty-two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - 10:00 A.M. at the Main Street Farmington Baptist Church with Preston Beeks officiating. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery. No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.
