(I was just doing some research on a very distant collateral relative who, apparently, was the last wife of Wm. Goldman, who is buried in Liberty Cem., Crawford Co., AR.
I found it interesting to see that you said she tried to poison him. That being what it may, I just wanted to make a correction.
The correct name is Opal Walker. She was the dau. of David James Walker & Effie Killough. Edward Hinman was her step-father but she didn't take his name in any documents that I have found.
All 3 of them are listed as being buried in Academy Cem. in Evansville, Washington Co., AR.[Thank you Shelley in California for the information]

My name is Dwight D ‘Butch’ Goldman. I am one of the Goldman’s from Evansville, Arkansas.
I was reading part of something you were talking about on a posting on Find A Grave about Opal N Walker.
I wanted to pass along to you something that was told to me by the doctor that treated William Moses ‘Bill’ Goldman as well as Martin Columbus ‘Lum’ Goldman. The doctor was Dr. Jeff Baggett who was a doctor in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was also the doctor that delivered me at birth.
In the mid 70’s I was working for the Prairie Grove Police Department and Dr Baggett, who had retired from medicine, came by the Police station and was talking to me when he noticed my name badge. He asked me how I was related to the Evansville Goldman’s and after that told me about treating Bill. Bill had gone to him complaining about stomach problems. After running test, Dr Baggett, concluded that his wife Opal was trying to poison him. Dr Baggett thought that was a funny story.
Long after that when I started doing my own work in family history it caused me to wonder if maybe she had also tried the same thing when she was married to Lum? No way of knowing for sure now but since Dr Baggett told me face to face about Bill and Opal, I figure that is about as good as any of us will ever get into that story
