Henry Homer Dalrymple
89, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away on September 15, 2008 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born August 13, 1919 at Shreveport, Louisiana, the son of John Ivan and Eunice Scott Thrasher Dalrymple.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, where he served as Elder. Homer was a member of Occidential Lodge # 436, 32 Degree Scottish Rite, Hella Shrine Temple. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Homer retired as Division Manager from SWEPCO. He served as chairman of PAMP Board, member of the Prairie Grove Police committee, served as president of Mt Pleasant, Texas Chamber of Commerce and served as the interim Mayor of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leah Jane Dalrymple in 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Dalrymple of the home; two sons, John Larry Dalrymple and his wife, Dixie of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Homer Ray Dalrymple and his wife, Cathy of Farmington, Arkansas; one daughter, Elaine Jones and her husband, Loyd of Farmington, Arkansas; one stepson, Jerry Lee Freedle and his wife, Stahr of Flower Mound, Texas and one stepdaughter, Terri Alice Masters and her husband, Terrell of Victoria, Texas; eight grandchildren, David Jones, Diane Kulhman, Jason Dalrymple, Scott Dalrymple, Steven Dalrymple, Denise Karnes, Logan Freedle and Alicia Perkins and six great grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 10:00 A.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with John King officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
