Robert Dewey Collins age 93 a long time resident of Lincoln, Arkansas passed from this life on Dec.19,2014 in the Heroes Haven Unit of the Fayetteville Veterans Hospital.
Robert was a veteran of World War II, serving in Europe from October, 1944 through March, 1946.
He was born on Oct.14,1921 to Pete & Elizabeth Collins. "Rob" as he was called by friends and family was a farmer and raised broilers for Tyson Foods for many years. He also was the carpenter on the five homes he built through the years he shared with his beloved wife Frances. Rob also found some time in later years to work at Apple Town in Lincoln, which gave him much joy.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Pete & Elizabeth Collins, a sister, Dorothy Risley, brothers, Edgar Collins, Roy Collins, and Walter Rich, son in-law Jesse Yother, great grand daughter Jennifer Enis, and his beloved wife of 70 years Frances, who he lost in 2010.
He is survived by his two daughters, Anna Yother of Muskogee, Ok. , Linda Brumfield & husband Roger of Montesano, Wa. Four grandchildren, Robert Yother & wife Pam of Wilburton, Ok., Debra Enis & husband Steve of Vinita, Ok., Tammy Granberg & husband Alan of Tacoma, Wa., Terri Besaw & husband Kyle of Montesano, Wa. Eight great grandchildren, Amy Watkins & husband Brad, & Bryan Yother all of Elk City, Ok., Tiffany Thompson of Muskogee, Ok. Vickie Adams & husband Nate of Richardson, Tx., Sierra & Lincoln Granberg of Tacoma, Wa., Hailey Toyra & husband Kyle of Olympia, Wa.,and Madison Besaw of Montesano,Wa. Three great great grandchildren Jenna, Jack, & Jacey Watkins of Elk City, Ok. Plus many nieces & nephews, and church family he loved so much.
Visitation with family will be Monday, Dec. 22 from 6 to 7 pm at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service on Tuesday, Dec. 23 - 11:00 am at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.
