Tommy Ray Buttry

Age 56, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born February 24,1968 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Charles “Sam” and Loretta Thurman Buttry.

Tommy was well known around the area for his work at Dillion's, Harps and in the school systems. Tommy enjoyed spending time with his kids, teaching, traveling, and reading.

He was preceded in death by his father Sam Buttry, his paternal grandparents, Claudis “Buck” Morgan and Ida Frances Eneks Buttry; his maternal grandparents, James “Shorty” Cletis and Juanita Maurice Kinion Thurman.

Survivors include his mother, Loretta Buttry Riddle and her husband, Cody of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sons Joshua Buttry and Zachary Buttry both of Fayetteville; one daughter Brianna Buttry of Lincoln, Arkansas; one sister Cathy Buttry Nielsen and her husband Lenny of Elkins. Two nephews Dakota Nielsen and his wife Kyra along with their two children Raimey and Ryder Nielsen of Elkins and Devin Nielsen and his wife Macie along with son Kase Nielsen of Elkins.
