Michael was a man of many skills. While he was a talented mechanic by trade and firefighter, his abilities extended far beyond the shop. Whether fixing cars, helping a friend with a project, or sharing his knowledge with those around him, Michael had a gift for solving problems and making things work. He was the go-to person for advice, and his hands-on approach to life was a source of admiration to all who knew him.
As a father, Michael was unwavering in his love. He took pride in guiding his children through life's challenges, always encouraging them to be kind, hardworking, and true to themselves. As a husband, he was a pillar of support and a true partner, always putting his family first. He was also a proud grandfather, cherishing the moments spent with his grandchildren and watching them grow.
Michael was a brother, friend, and mentor to many. His sense of humor, generosity, and selflessness will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He taught those around him the importance of perseverance, the value of hard work.
Michael is survived by his wife Rachel Heithaus, his children Lanikka Heithaus, Jasmine Lowery, Aubrey Thompson, Shammah Thompson, Charlotte Heithaus. His Son-in-law Johnny Lowery. Grandchildren Lydia Lowery, Charlee Lowery, Jonah Lowery, Kayce Lowery. Nephews and Niece George Hudson, August Hudson, Lillian Heithaus. His siblings Christiana Hudson, Guy Heithaus, Calvin Heithaus, Daniel Heithaus. His sister-in-law‘s Hayley Heithaus and Jess Heithaus. He was preceded in death by his Brother John Ivan Heithaus, Mother Charlotte Heithaus, Father John Heithaus and Brother-in-law Christopher Hudson.
A celebration of his life will be held at Evansville Fire Station – 20493 AR-59, Evansville, AR 72729 On April 6, 2025, 2:00 p.m. with family and friends invited to share memories and honor the legacy of a man who made a difference in so many lives.
