Obituary

Mary Virginia"Gigi"Moore, 64, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away on October 7, 2024. Born to Dr. Joe B Hall and Patsy Matt Harrison Hall on August 24, 1960, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Gigi was a beacon of generosity and hospitality, cherished by all who knew her.

Gigi graduated from Fayetteville High School and furthered her education at the University of Arkansas, where she met the love of her life, Rager, and started a family. Her career was as diverse as it was successful, spanning roles in retail, cake decorating, event management, and catering. Gigi was particularly revered for her role as an office manager, where she left a lasting impact on small businesses and medical offices across Arkansas, California, Kansas, Idaho, most notably at West Washington County Clinic in Lincoln, Arkansas.

Her artistic talents were manifold, including music, cake decorating, needlework, and sketching, but she was particularly famous for her baking, especially for her "Gigi bread." An animal lover, Gigi had a vast knowledge of all types of animals and even trained chickens during her youth, though it seems few remain who can bear witness to this unique skill. Her true love, however, was horses, especially the horse of her youth, Honey.

Gigi was a member of several churches during her lifetime, most recently attending Prairie Grove United Methodist Church. Her faith in Jesus was central to how she lived her life; her church community was a place of joy, fellowship, and another arena in which to exercise her gifts of hospitality and service.

She leaves behind her daughters, Caroline Russell, Charlotte Moore, and Courtney Rominger; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a sister, Lissa Halbert; brothers, Fletcher, Ben, Joe, and Patrick Hall; one favorite son-in-law; a large extended family including loving sisters-in-law, three aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as a plethora of chosen family (you know who you are). Gigi was preceded in death by her husband Rager, her parents Joe B. and Patsy Matt, cousin Mandy, and sister-in-law Teresa.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the following non-profits:

The Call: thecallinarkansas.org
Supporting fostering and adoption.

Community Care Connections of NWA: communitycareconnectionsnwa.org
Supporting mental health resources in Northwest Arkansas.

Both causes were close to Gigi's heart.

Gigi's legacy of love, artistry, and unyielding generosity will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Gigi had a voice like an angel, but I remember her best for her keen wit and mischievous attitude. Thoughts and prayers to the extended Hall family.

GiGi was so sweet and the grandmother of my two nieces Madison and Morgan. They love her dearly. My heart breaks for them losing their grandma at such a young age, but I know they will treasure their memories with her forever. Praying for all the family in this difficult time, but also happy she is no longer in pain and reunited in heaven with her sweet husband Rager and other loved ones. God bless you all.

I remember so vividly when Gigi and I met in 7th grade. We were seated alphabetically and both being Hall were together. Then we discovered we were born on the same day, same year, same hospital and delivered by the same doctor! We promptly asked our parents if we were in the right families :). We were fast and continued friends through the years. An amazing lady who shared her smile with everyone (including me). I am just heartbroken to hear this. Please know I am keeping all of you in my prayers for comfort for the coming days. Hugs to all. Robin

Wow wasn’t expecting this to be what I was going to be reading. Gigi was an inspiration to many , a voice none other.when she sang. I loved listening to her at church . I know when her husband passed away my heart sank cause he was just like her. I knew she was going to have it hard for they were a team… now they are together again. My prayers are with the family as well.. all of you!!!

I was surprised and saddened to see this notice about GiGi when I was looking up someone else. My family and the Hall family interacted a lot when we were growing up because our parents were friends. Gigi would come over to our house on West Prospect in Fayetteville to play from time to time, or we’d be over to play at the Halls’ house on Mt. Nord. I send condolences to Benjie, Fletcher, Pal Joe, Patrick, and ‘Lissa on GiGi’s passing. God’s comfort to all of you in your sorrow, and Light Perpetual shine on your beloved GiGi.
