Obituary

Louie Erwin Neale , age 93, one week shy of 94, formerly of Pateros, Washington, was taken home to his Lord on March 24, 2025, holding the hand of his wife and best friend of 70 years, Anna Bell Neale.

Louie was born in Forest Grove, OR to Joseph "Dee" and Virgie Mayberry Neale on March 31, 1931 and raised in Washington Co, AR.  He initially worked as a lineman and then as a moving van driver until he and Anna Bell started having children, at which time he said kids needed their dad at home and took a local job.

In 1965, he moved to Azwell, Washington and worked as an apple orchardist.  Shortly before retirement, he and Anna Bell bought their own orchard, Big L, and operated it until 2014.

Louie was known for his quiet strength and devotion to his family.  His family remembers his Christian testimony as one actively lived out on a daily basis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons Donald Louie Neale and Bobby Gene Neale, and his sister Evelyn Neale Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Bell Hodge Neale, currently of Rogers, AR; son Roger Neale (Dawn) of Bellingham, WA; daughter Charlotte Neale Dauber (Richard) of Rapid City, SD; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many other extended family members.

"If a man's word is not good, he's not much of a man."
