Brewster, Lafayette, died November 4, 1910, was born June 7, 1838 in Sevier County, Tennessee. His mother was Bersheba Stillwell.. He served in the 34th Arkansas Infantry. He married Elizabeth Jane Simpson on December 1, 1850. She was the daughter of J.M. and Terry Simpson, who lived in Franklin County, Arkansas. Her mother was Elizabeth Butler. Their children are; Henry of Prairie Grove; Arthur and Dale of Walla Walla, Washington; Orin (deceased), Bood of Cane Hill; Jeremiah of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Hugh of Washington D.C.; Frank and Frannie Brewster of Claremore, Oklahoma. Brewster, widow of Lafayette Brewster, who died November 4, 1910, filed Widow Application #21657 with the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for a Confederate widow pension and it was received as allowed August 16, 1917 at the State, citing her husband’s service with Company B, 34thArkansas Infantry from 1862 thru 1865.
