Obituary
Judy Diana Quinton Pinkerton
Age 83, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Judy Diane Quinton born December 25, 1941 to Henry Cleburn and Clara Agnes Nutt at Mineral Springs Arkansas. She attended morrow school through the eighth grade then to Lincoln school through 12th grade. She lived in Morrow all her growing up years. She started dating Lesley Lynn Pinkerton in 1958 and married him on December 19, 1959 at the Mt. Pleasant Church in Morrow, Arkansas by Rev. Walter Pennel. Then they moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma in January 1960 where Less attended Okmulgee Tech. Neither one of them had a job, know there were some sleepless nights for our folks. They both got jobs and Les finished school. After Les finished school, he got a job at Kahn Chevrolet Company in Butler, Missouri. They moved there in March 1961. Not long after we moved there, She went to work at the Len‘s plant a place where they made lenses for glasses. She work there until two weeks before our son Michael Lynn was born at Bates County Memorial Hospital on April 24, 1964 in Butler, Missouri on memorial weekend 1964. When Michael was just a few weeks old we came to Arkansas to show our new son off. Wesley and his twin brother Les also went to Okmulgee Tech and was working at Brock’s Garage in Lincoln Arkansas. Mr. Bill Brock was wanting to sell his business and while we were here Les and Wes and Mr. Brock made a deal. The business became Twins’ Auto Service. They went back to Butler to tell Les’s boss to start making arrangements for the move. In June 1964 her father and mother came to Butler and picked Michael and her up and brought us to Arkansas. Les stayed in Butler to come with the guy that was moving their mobile home. They stayed with her folks for a few weeks until they found a lot and got their mobile home set up in Lincoln. Les had bought some equipment before they left Butler he brought it down and set everything up and in July 1964 Les and Wes opened the business. They worked together until July 1979 Les sold his part to Wes after the business had outgrown the shop. Les worked for Wes until they got our new shop built. In November 1979 they opened Pinkerton‘s front end service.
They bought a farm in Lincoln and raised cattle and chickens where Judy helped and kept the books for the mechanic shop. Michelle was born in August of 1972 completing their family. Les and Judy worked and raised their family together until 1997 when Les retired. They spent several years traveling and then made the move to the Dutch Mills farm in 1995 where they continued to raise cattle. No matter if was working on the farm, meeting customers at the shop, going on a hunting trip or cruise, camping in the RV Judy always looked her best. She took great pride in taking care of her family, cooking a batch of fried chicken, one of her amazing pies or cinnamon rolls, rocking babies at church, loving on grandkids and most importantly Les. They were married for 64 wonderful years and the bond between them was an example of a true partnership that was an inspiration to all that witnessed it. A true "Notebook" couples story of love.
Though she will be deeply missed her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts that knew her. We will continue to be guided by her kindness and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Cleburn and Clara Agnes "Nutt" Quinton and one sister Norma Cantrall.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years Lesley Lynn Pinkerton; one Son Michael Lynn Pinkerton and wife Mary of Dutch Mills, AR; one daughter Michelle Lynette Ramsey and her husband Scott of Summers, AR; 9 Grandchildren Ryan Pinkerton and wife Kasha, Kappie Bryant, Raka' Pinkerton, Jared Bryant and wife Grace Anne, Rylee Curran, Ava Pinkerton, Cassandra Melcher and husband Timothy, Devan Marcus and her husband Benjamin, Audie Ramsey and his wife Tori. 9 Great Grandchildren; Rowan, Kora, and Koleman Pinkerton; Kyron, Aria, Briella and Xaiver Melcher; Lilani and Abeni Marcus.
