James Glenn "Jim" Carte
75 a resident of Prairie Grove AR passed away September 10, 2015 Fayetteville, AR He was born April 24, 1940 Cove Creek, AR the son of Lacy Gordon and Nola Madge Hodges Carte
Glenn served in the United States Army and retired from the Washington County Road Department. He was a very loved and devoted dad and grandpa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, getting outside and camping, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one niece Tammy Carte and one nephew Brian Carte.
Survivors include one son Mike Carte (Tammy) of Prairie Grove; three daughters Barbara Christie (Sherman) of Westville, OK, Carol Parker (Jamie) of Centerton and Christy Carte (John Baker) of Rogers; six grandchildren Nichole, Tyler, Jordan, Emily, Colton and Kasie; two great grandchildren Taylor and Adylan; four brothers Clifford Carte (Janell Nunnley), Bill Carte (Barbara), Gordon Carte (Gail) and Dennis Carte (Sharon) all of Prairie Grove; one sister Wanda Rutherford (Don) of Lincoln; several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday September 16, 2015 10:00 A.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Garrett Creek Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Chris Brady, Jason Carte, Ricky Carte, Joe Rutherford and David Carte.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Sauls, Ray Stone and Colten Peace.
