Tributes

I want to thank God for putting Jack in my life, if it was not for him I would not have been able to step out on faith to be his assistant music leader at Calvary Baptist Church. He has faith in me and helped me to be strong and not let the devil keep me from praising God through music. I know he is singing up in heaven. Love you Jack. You will be missed.

Jack's faith and love for God never waivered. He was a deacon and music director at Calvary Baptist Church for many years. He was one of the original founders of Calvary Baptist Church. He taught Sunday School class and was willing to do anything he was asked. He was always a faithful leader of the church whom so many respected and loved him. Jack touched so many lives in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He and his wife, Evelyn, grew to be very special friends. We admired and loved this man beyond words and he will be greatly missed in our church and in the lives of so many people.

One of best guys I ever met. Became family. His quick wit kept us all in good humor. Heaven is rejoicing.

Jack was truly one of the good ones. I was blessed to have known Jack and his family my entire life. I know how much he meant to my mom and they are both rejoicing together once again.

That voice, how I will miss that voice! What a privilege to have sang with him once, years ago. He always made us feel special here at the library. Jack made us smile every time he came in. The world is a colder place without Jack. We love and pray over you Ms Evelyn and your family. Big hugs.

Jack Thompson and his lovely wife sold me my very first sheep in the late 80's. They took the time to teach me a few things along the way. A true respect, administration, and dare I say love of these fine folks developed out of this business transaction. I have never asked either of them for help without a big enthusiastic yes. I have never seen either of these fine folks without enjoying a big hug and the occasional kiss on the check. Jack will be missed, but I know Evelyn will continue being the same beautiful woman who loves the people in this world. Until I see you (Evelyn) to collect a hug, my thoughts, prayers, and love are with you and your family.

It so saddens my heart to hear of Jack's passing. He always had a wise word to share along with a grin and a laugh. I will miss him dearly. Evelyn- My thoughts are with you. Hugs to you.

So sad to hear of his passing. I will always have fond memories of taking my Grandmother to the Rexall Rangers rehearsals when my brother Will played in the band. Jack was such a genuine, kind soul. The kind of person you never forget. He will be truly missed.
