Hare Delafield Deane-Stuart

March 29, 1949 - October 20, 2023

Hare passed away peacefully at his home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was the son of Disque D. Deane, Sr. and Anne Shepherd (Delafield) Stuart of New York.

He will be missed by his beloved wife Lidia Stuart whom were married in 2009 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Kathleen Stuart of Minnesota. Hare had 5 children: Andrew (Aimie), William (Melissa), Brian, Jessica (Thomas), Amanda (Kevin), and 2 stepchildren: Julia (Andrew) and Natasha. He had 12 grandchildren, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Hare served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a lifelong member of the Delafield Family Association and proud of his heritage. Hare's entrepreneurial spirit and creative mind resulted in many businesses and accomplishments. He enjoyed plants, animals, traveling to new places, history, politics, and mentoring others around him. Hare had an unyielding thirst for knowledge which he implemented into new ideas and opportunity. He was never shy to share his opinions and impacted many he encountered in his life as a visionary leader.

"Who knows what's going on in the world today?" was a common question Hare would ask at the family dinner table to initiate inquisitive conversation. He had a genuine talent of connecting with people at an individual level along with big-picture perspective.

Hare was an independent thinker, passionate about pursuing new ventures while preserving his family legacy and core values.
