Dorotha L. Bilbrey Tate

Age 101, a resident of West Fork, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born August 24, 1923 in Viney Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of George and Fannie (Shumate) Wood.

Dorotha worked in the West Fork School cafeteria for 17 years. She loved to make quilts and gave one to each member of her family. She started babysitting so she could stay home and care for her mother. The children she cared for included Brandon Marshall, David and Bryan Lindabury, and Anthony and Emily (Nichols) Daugherity and they were just like her own grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands Huse Bilbrey which she was married to from 1942-1982 and L.D. Tate which she was married to from 1993-2020, her only beloved child Larry Bilbrey, and much loved daughter-in-law Linda Odom Bilbrey, two sisters Mary Belle Easter and her husband Melvin and their only child Jerry, Evelyn Easter and her oldest daughter Margrett and son Donald.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 21st, 2024, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the West Fork Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Marshall, David Lindabury, Bryan Lindabury, Anthony Daugherity, Kody Nichols, Lyle Hays, Steve Odom, and Sonny Marhsall
