Coy Dale Fitts

46, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away May 24, 2011 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born June 29, 1964 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Roy and Vera Estep Fitts.

Coy Dale retired from the United States Army where he served in: Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat “V”, Purple Heart, Joint Meritious Unit Service Ribbon and numerous other service awards. He worked as a deputy for the Washington County Sheriff's Office. He was an avid NASCAR fan, a Dallas Cowboy fan and loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Lottie Estep, John and Gladys Fitts, father in law, Alvin Phillips and a brother in law, Bobby Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Fitts of the home; three sons, Blake Fitts of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Cory Fitts and Casey Fitts both of Farmington, Arkansas; his parents, Roy and Vera Fitts of Farmington, Arkansas; two brothers, Troy Wayne Fitts and his wife, Carmen, and Cliff Fitts both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one sister, Brenda Chaney and her husband, Mike of Omaha, Arkansas; his "Grand-Pup" Lilly; his mother in law, Mary Phillips of Farmington, Arkansas, four brothers in law, Jim Phillips of Oklahoma, Buck Phillips and his wife, Colleen of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Lloyd Phillips and his wife, Bev of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tommy Phillips of Pendleton, South Carolina; four sisters in law, Venita Shorb and her husband, Dennis of Cassville, Missouri, Carline Provence and her husband, Dewayne of Springdale, Arkansas, Kathy Beach and her husband, Wayne of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Viola Phillips also of Fayetteville, Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 - 12:00 P.M. at the White Rock Light of Faith Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas with H.M. Shipp officiating. Graveside service with full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be: Nick Beach, Curt Williams, Bill Moore, Mike Belzner, Preston Fitts, and Chad Mayfield.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dennis Shorb, Jay McCarver, John Daniels, Wally Asher, Marvin Risley, Chad Cullen, and Tony Cox
