Obituary

Connor David Sloat, 19, a resident of Winslow, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024. He was born November 8, 2004, the fourth son of Brian and Courtney (Clarke) Sloat.

In his short life, in between six brain surgeries, Connor commandeered many places for his own, such as his dad’s shop and Mr. Henderson’s chicken house. He filled them with his vast interests and had an uncanny ability to teach himself. The most notable of his accomplishments was his woodwork and the engine swap of a 1999 Ford Ranger. Throughout his challenges, he was always resolved to God’s Holy will and accepted his circumstances with grace, humility, and unwavering faith. From what he called his “higher level thinking” jokes, to his contagious smile, Connor was an inspiration to all who knew him and his heart.

He left behind his parents Brian and Courtney Sloat; five brothers Bauer Sloat and his wife Lesly, Caden Sloat and his wife Susana, Bronson Sloat, Bo Christian Sloat, and Coleman Sloat; one sister Lucia Sloat; two nieces Serena and Genevieve Sloat; grandparents Don and Cecilia Sloat and Mike and Debbie Clarke; and one great grandmother Ava Nell Paty.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 6:00-7:00PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00PM at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
