Barbara Walker Woody

60 a resident of Farmington, Arkansas passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville after an eleven year battle with cancer. She was born March 16, 1955 in Fayetteville, the daughter of Russell and Betty Ruth Walker.

She enjoyed her years working at JC Penney, Asbell Elementary School and most recently at UAMS as the Education Programs Coordinator.

Barbara was a part of the Farmington Baptist Church Praise Team and a member of the Bethel Grove Extension Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband Clay Woody; two sons Jeremy Woody and wife Adrienne and Andrew Woody and wife Kara all of Farmington; one daughter Kara Lewis and husband Shelby also of Farmington; her mother Betty Ruth Walker of Farmington; two brothers Larry Walker and wife BeAnn of Prairie Grove and Don Walker and wife Sheroll of Fayetteville; one sister Candes Wilson and husband Jim of Fayetteville; five grandchildren Jonah, Jude and Ava Jane Woody, Cooper Woody and Oliver Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 10:00 a.m. at Farmington Baptist Church with burial in the Farmington Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Farmington Baptist Church 49 W Main St. Farmington, AR 72730 or for supplies to benefit chemo patients at Highland Oncology, checks should be made out to and mailed to Bethel Grove Extension Homemakers Club 385 N Powderhorn Dr Fayetteville, AR 72704 which will administer and deliver the supplies.

Pallbearers will be Brian Walker, Doug Walker, Eric Walker, Jim Wilson, Jeff Woody and Mike Smith.

Honorary Pallbearer will be David Wilson of Africa.
