Obituary

Winnie Elizabeth George

Age 81, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born October 18, 1939 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Fletcher C and Elizabeth Mary (Gifford) Norman.

Winnie was co-owner of John George Construction and had worked as a nurse at Medi-Homes in Prairie Grove. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Sonny Norman and Richard Norman.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years John William George; two sons John Eugene George and his fiance Shelia Stanley of Elkins, Arkansas, and Jeffrey Glenn George and his girlfriend Leilani Ng of Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters Janet Elizabeth Ward and her husband James of Prairie Grove and Jeannine Marie Sullivan of Rogers, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law Robin George of Farmington, Arkansas; one brother Robert Fletcher Norman of Keosauqua, Iowa; twelve grandchildren Hunter Sullivan, Mitchell Phillips and his fiance' Sarah, Tyler Sullivan, Kenny George and his wife Abby, Ashley George, Jessica George, Jason George, James Ward and his wife Amy, Joey Ward, Jacob Ward, Ariel George and Jesse George; one great granddaughter Eliotte George, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2020, 5:00-8:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Due to Covid-19 family will have a private graveside service on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas.
