Obituary

On  Thursday,  May  16,  2019,  William  Dale  Cochran,  aka  “Billy,”  of  Lincoln,  died  at  the  age  of  42.    Billy  was  born  on  June  4,  1976  in  Fayetteville,  Arkansas  to  Dale  Cochran  and  Sally  Mansell.  He  had  two  children,  Bailey  Wheeler  and  Cody  Cochran.

A  smart--ass  country  boy.  He  was,  without  a  doubt,  one  of  the  most  opinionated,  antagonistic,  mouthiest  guys  we  ever  met;  but  he  was  kind,  loyal,  and  would  (and  did)  do  anything  for  anyone.  He  was  an  amazing  friend,  little  brother,  loving  son,  and  devoted  father.  He  had  a  passion  for  hunting  and  collecting  guns,  and  made  sure  everyone  knew  he  was  NOT  a  Democrat.

Billy  was  preceded  in  death  by  his  mother,  Sally  Mansell;  his  paternal  grandparents,  Robert  Eugene  &  Opal  Cochran;  his  maternal  grandparents,  Tom  &  Norma  Wright;  an  aunt,  Diane  Rothrock;  an  uncle,  Homer  Cochran;  cousins,  Sheila  Rothrock,  Emily  Rothrock,  and  Lisa  Baker.  He  was  survived  by  his  father,  Dale  Cochran;  two  children,  Cody  and  Bailey;  one  awesome  grandson,  Jace;  three  sisters,  Tammy  (Scott)  Shedd,  Sharon  Dayberry,  and  Tammie  (Justin)  Cavness.  He  also  leaves  behind  nieces,  nephews,  several  extended  family  members,  and  a  host  of  amazing  friends  that  will  have  to  figure  out  how  to  live  without  him,  and  can  guarantee  we  will  miss  him  more  than  Hillary  misses  the  White  House.

A  Celebration  of  Life  service  will  be  held  on  Saturday,  May  25th,  2019  at  10:00  a.m.  at  Grace  Covenant  Church  18837  E  Holt  Rd  in  Lincoln,  Arkansas;  with  Billy's  lifelong  friend,  Ricky  Koonz,  officiating.

Billy had a very soft heart but hard exterior. I always enjoyed our talks in person when we could and our media time. I know you are laughing at us from up there. Try to behave Billy. I know you don’t like the word love but I love you like you were a brother. Going to miss you a lot.????
Sheila Lane - Friend
Oh Billy!!! I will always remember you following Tammy, Sharon, and I around from the time we were In kindergarten on.. You were a pain in our asses then and you never stopped. We would tease and tease you but you never let us alone. As we grew up, you found your place in this world, and had your son Cody. We will all miss you. Love you Billy Dale!

Billy, you were the sweetest soul with the biggest heart. You are going to be greatly missed here on this earth. So glad to have known you all these year. Fly high my friend.

Billy, Jeremy let me know on Tuesday that you passed away. I couldn't believe it. I just saw you a few days ago over by the UofA. Every time I saw you, I gave you a hard time and you returned the favor. I only knew you for three years, but I came to look forward to seeing you on the job site. If I ever called you back to take a look at something, you did it, even if you didn't have the time. I appreciated your integrity. I appreciated your sarcastic demeanor. I miss you already. May God be gracious to your family in your absence.
