dear sweet Eldon, I know you because my best school friend was your daughter Pat. She was like you in so many ways. Kind, loving, positive most the time, never lazy, and an all-around good friend. Since she has been gone, I haven't visited as much as maybe I should have but I was the reminder of her being gone. You have fought every 5 years to ensure she isn't forgotten. you have been a son, brother, uncle, dad, granddad, a great grandad, and an awesome friend to so many. You have had sad times, good times, you have served our country proudly and work after returning home at EPC seemed like forever. You taught us a lot.... To be quiter then quite when we were told to, to turn "OFF THAT LIGHT" when we walked out of the room, to "clean up that mess your making", that we were late coming in from the football game, there are so many things you taught us. But the one thing you always made sure we knew was that you loved us. I have enjoyed the time I have spent with you, made memories to have, sorry i never brought you another package of those steaks, the ride home from Alabama was a wonderful experience, even when I hit that big hole in the curve doing 60.... these memories I will hold dear and near to my heart forever. Cheryl, Randy and family, you are like a second family to me. we have laughed, cried, prayed, had meals. Your dad had a love for his family that was special, he included a few of us not family in his family love. and for that i will always be grateful. if there is anything, well you know. Know I love you, and as we move forward without your dad, we will always be who he thought we should be, someone he was very proud of, someone he loved unconditionally. The days ahead are numbered and one day we will be having that great reunion, but until then RIP Eldon Whited.
