Obituary

W.C. "Bill'' Gifford

Age 92, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his home. He was born January 22, 1928 in Westville, Oklahoma, the son of Ebb and Alma (Martin) Gifford.

Bill was a member of the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department for many years. A member of the Mountain Gap Hunting Club and had retired from Tyson Foods after 23 years of service.

Bill was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lora Dean Gifford, three brothers Ray, Cecil and Jesse Gifford, one daughter Sandra Gifford, one step daughter Deborah Langley and one step son Gary Mullen.

Survivors include his wife Gladys Gifford; two daughters Brenda Dobbs of Farmington, Arkansas, and Betty Sisemore of Highfill, Arkansas; one step son Darrell Mullen of Prairie Grove; three step daughters Lora Brammer and Arlene Burkhart both of Prairie Grove, and Nelda Cambron of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren Lee Dobbs, R.D. Sisemore, and Travis Dobbs; three great grandchildren Travis Jr, Destiny and Dixon Dobbs; a host of step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4:30-8:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 24th, 2020, at Prairie Grove Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will be in the Illinois Chapel Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department.
