Wanda Lee Leach

Age 78, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 8, 1940 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of John O. and Alice Geneva (Tyree) Loughridge.

Wanda was well known and loved in the Prairie Grove community. She was a friendly face for several years while working at Sterling Drug Store. Wanda took great pride in her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Throughout the years, she and her husband John welcomed many visitors into their home; Wanda particularly enjoyed when her son, Chip, and his friends would practice music at their house. She had a beautiful voice and could sometimes be heard singing along.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Leona Dobbs and one brother Johnny Loughridge.

Survivors include her husband John Leach Sr.; one son Chip Leach and wife Beverly of Prairie Grove; one daughter Gail Leach of Pensacola, Florida; two brothers J.T. Loughridge and wife Harriat of Columbus, Kansas and Bill Loughridge of Lincoln; one sister Indus Gadd and husband Roger of Orange Park, Florida; three grandchildren Autumn Mitchell, Ashley Leach and Crystal Cavender; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 25, 2019, 6:00-7:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 26th, 2019, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.
