Tributes

I first met Jack and Vicki when they were called to pastor a little church in Wedington Woods. I loved listening to Vicki sing and play. I was honored when she asked me to go with her to Tulsa to record her music. Having never been in a studio before, I was in awe. No matter how tired her voice became, she sang every word with a smile.I believe that when a person listens to her music, they can hear her smile radiating through. No matter the situation, Vicki's countenance radiated through space. I believe I heard her giggle through more VBS situations than any person I have ever met. Her spirit was gentle, her words soft, and her smile genuine and infectious. The four things I know about her from spending time with her when I was younger is that first, she loved the Lord with all her heart. Secondly, she loved her family beyond the moon and back. Thirdly, she loved music and one could see her precious soul shining through it. Finally, she embraced every situation with grace and dignity and with a genuine smile. Vicki loved, and anyone who was blessed enough to be loved by her carries a piece of her legacy. My heartfelt prayers are extended to every member of her family. Vicki has left a large vacant space with her passing. However, I believe that she loved so deeply that you will be able to feel her arms around each of you and her smile upon you until you are called home to see her again in our Heavenly home. For now, listen to her music through the rain, feel her smile through the warmth of the sun, and experience her embrace through the gentle breeze. Love and prayers for each of you.
