“I will miss my mom greatly. Mom taught me so much growing up, the one thing she taught me best was how to treat other people as I would want to be treated. She inspired me to be the best I could be. She said that as long as I did my best and knew it, that was good enough. She became my best friend in adulthood. I miss you, Mommy.” Evelyn Lisa Witt, Daughter

“My mother was an honest, hard working, patient, kind and loving person. She was always helping others or helping family. I learned many things from her. The greatest gift I received from her and my dad was life. Mom, I will miss you, love your daughter; Lynda.” Lynda Lee Davis, Daughter

“My Aunt Vonnie was a wonderful mother to me. She helped me to reunite with my father so many years ago after many years of not knowing who my father was. She opened her heart to me and gave me strength in so many ways. She did so much for her community and her church. She was the funniest woman I know, she had to have a great sense of humor being part of this family. I love you so much Auntie, I'm sure St. Peter will open the gate with welcoming arms and if by chance you see my birth mom say hey for me. You will be missed by many, God Speed Auntie. I'm going to miss her very much and I feel honored to have know her at all. The world has 1 less angel on its surface but the universe has gained another angel in its heavens.” Tribute by George Lattimer III, nephew. His words say it all about Vonnie and the person she was to so many others.

“I lost one of the most important people in my life. I loved her very much. She was the most caring sweet woman I ever met. I spent so much time with her as a child/teenager.” Kayla Bradley, Granddaughter
