Tommy Gene Ledford

Age 90, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born February 7, 1929 in Greenland, Arkansas, the son of Jesse and Lillian (Lawson) Ledford.

Tommy served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by wife of 68 years Mamie Ledford and his sister Letha Bowling.

Survivors include one son Donald Ledford and wife Kathy; one daughter Vickie Murray and husband Joe; five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 18, 2019, 5:00-7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 19th, 2019, at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.

Tommy was a NEIGHBOR of ours for many years, He was always willing to lend a hand, We came to think a lot of Him through the Years, He has gone to be with His Wife Mamie and His Heavenly Home

Mamie and Tommy...Two souls meant to be together forever. I always will remember Vickie telling me how truly “one” they were. How Mamie wouldn’t be able to remember what she was trying to say and instead of getting all flustered, she’d just look at Tommy and ask him as if that part of the thought was his to finish. True soul mates and best friends. I loved them dearly.
