Obituary

Stanley L. Musick passed away peacefully at his home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Marge Musick. He was blessed with 1 son -- Mike Musick; 4 daughters -- Tricia Estep, Amy Hickner, Nancy Musick, Melissa Zane; 1 step-daughter – Julie Tandy; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends, and beloved dogs Scruffy and Lola.

Stan was born in Mixon, Tx., graduated New Summerfield High School, and attended Tyler Junior College (now UT Tyler). He was a Free Mason, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, and Shriner. He enjoyed a long, successful career in Oil & Gas Exploration with Sun E&P Company. He retired in 1989 as the Petroleum Land Manager of the Corpus Christi district office.

Stan moved to Fredericksburg, Tx. in 2000 to enjoy the beautiful hill country. He loved to travel, camp, and trail ride. His adventures took him far and wide – including Alaska, Canada, Qatar, and Kenya. As an avid dog lover, he adopted many canine companions and could always be found driving his truck with his dogs riding shot gun. He never met a stranger and struck up conversations with new people everywhere he went.

Stan was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Cave Creek, Texas. He served as a deacon and on the church council. His ashes will be interned in the Mixon Cemetery in Mixon, Texas at a date to be determined. He is home now with his savior, Jesus Christ.

“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
