Obituary

With a heavy heart and bittersweet gratitude, the Moss, Wiggins, and Hensley families announce that Sheila Marie "Wiggins" Hensley, 70, passed peacefully away at her home on the morning of March 17th, 2023, with Little Man by her side.

Sheila Marie was born on May 30th, 1952, on Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas to Hilary J. Wiggins of Bryson City, NC and the late Ann Marie "Meyers" Wiggins of San Antonio, TX. She grew up on Kinross Air Force base with her older sister Sandy Lancaster, and younger brothers Chuck and Rudy Wiggins.

She attend Rudyard High School, Class of 1970, where she was proud of her Baton twirling days; then processed to attend Modesto Jr. College 1982. The family later transferred to North Carolina Air Force base where she met her first husband James Edward Helms and had a daughter, Amber Lynn Helms-Moss.

She lived her life the way she wanted, never let fear or other's opinions stop her from doing things such as building cars, where she even raced a few to driving big rigs overnight. She started to settle down when she met the love her life JD Hensley. They were married on October 21st 1995, and shared a home of seventeen years in Lincoln, AR where they enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling to be with family. Over the twenty-two wonderful years together, they laughed a lot, loved hard and overcome many health issues. They cared for their mother Christine till she passed, and Sheila stood with JD through many health concerns till his passing in 2018.

She worked at Wal-Mart until she retired in 2020. She filled her days with morning coffee and friends at waffle house, her evenings with cookies & chats with JD and a little Friday night bingo. She would spend her weekends yelling and cheering on her favorite teams, the Atlanta Braves, the awesome Arkansas Razorbacks and those mediocre Cowboys. Little Man, Sheila & JD's surviving fur baby, was her favorite, most annoying companion till the end. She would get so annoyed at how much he loved her, never leave her side and always be under her feet; but we all know that she would of given her left leg to do anything to keep him around forever.

Sheila wanted to celebrate beating Cancer once again by living her life the way she had always lived her life. She had made plans to go see her favorite football team, in their new stadium, the Dallas Cowboys, I know, who likes the cowboys? She also made plans to go on a boat tour with her sister to see the whales and travel to be with family. The one constant with Sheila is she loved and was very loved by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband JD Hensley, her mother Ann Marie Wiggins, mother-in-law Christine Hensley, and one sister-in-law Dorothy Ferris.

Survivors include Amber L. Helms-Moss and her husband William of West Fork, Arkansas, her fur baby Little Man, Scott Hensley and his wife Amber of Lincoln, Arkansas, Jeff Hensley and his wife Keeley of Springdale, Arkansas, Loretta Brown of Anderson, Indiana, and Lynne Brewer of Little Rock, Arkansas; her father Hilary "Chuck" James Wiggins of Rudyard, Michigan; one sister Sandy Lancaster of Burien, Washington; two brothers Chuck Wiggins and his wife Donzetta of Modesto, California, and Rudy Wiggins and his wife Jeannie of Ralston, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren Cherish and Matt Barker, Neigel and Brittany Moss, Autumn Moss, Donnie and Sarah Brown, Angel and Fabian Benavidez, Daylann, Michael Hensley, Aaron, Andrew, Adam, and Alex Hensley, and Quinton, Randy Brewer and twelve great grandchildren;

Miss Sheila was one of a kind. We worked with her at Wal Mart. She was one of the hardest workers around. And she was always willing to help others. I have been praying so hard for this lovely lady. She fought so hard, a warrior to the end. We will miss you. Rest softly in the arms of God now......
