This lady was my neighbor for many years. She told me lots of stories about growing up in hard times, living on the farm, teaching school in a one room school house, her husband Johnny working at the sawmill, and the honky tonkin' they used to do. We shared a lot of laughs. She was so proud of her family, her heritage and she loved doing all the ancestry digging. She always asked about my son or what was going on with my family. Her family was lucky to have Ruby Mae be a part of their lives.
