Tributes

Gina was a great cook! She served delicious meals to the Caring Friends Respite Ministry at St. Paul's church. We are very grateful for her service and she will be sorely missed. My condolences to all the family and especially her mother Mattie and her daughter Kate who also helped us with the meals. Jane Purtle

Gina was one of the finest hard-news journalists I've ever worked with. But always more important to her was being a mom. I remember so clearly her coming to our friend Laurinda's wedding, pregnant as all get-out, leaving to run the cops beat and then going to the hospital to have Kate — beaming the whole time! She was so proud of her baby and her baby's babies. I am so sorry she couldn't stay longer to watch McKenzie grow up.

Regina was always an upbeat person at our many family reunions over the years. She had a wonderful smile and sense of humor. I think one of her favorite things during those times was politics with my Dad, her Uncle Cloyce. She always knew how to get a friendly rise and healthy debate going. He, Mother and all my family loved to see Regina during those close family gatherings. She was a lovely person, cousin, friend, mother and grandmother whom we will miss but will see again one day. God blessed us with you Regina as a caring member of the Clark family. Love you girl. Love to you Aunt Mattie, Joel, Kathy, Peter and Rose.

Thank you for allowing me to attend your mom’s funeral, I was trying to remember when I first knew Gina, and decided it had to have been more than 20 years ago! Altar guild, Choirs, youth activities, community meals and cooking delicious meals for caring friends, all spark memories of you and your mom and your grandmother. I remember walking for juvenile diabetes, Maybe 20 years ago, something I knew so little about until your mom’s commitment to the cause! She was your greatest champion but also a role model for service to God. I shall miss her dedication to altar guild and seeing her face in the kitchen at St. Paul s! God’s peace be with you and your family
