Matt was very intense and took pride in his work. His death is certainly a tragedy for his family and friends ... especially his 3 small children, their mothers, and his immediate family. May you finally find peace. Semper Fi!

Whew!-- I just finished viewing the family video and it was great. This is going to be hard typing what i want to say with tears running down my cheeks. The sadness I cannot express. My family, Cynthia, Jeff, Melissa, Wesley, Joanna, and myself send our condolences to the family. We loved Matt from the beginning of his friendship with Jeff. They were as different as could be in most ways. The only similarity that I could see, was the sincere caring for each other. This also included, Scott Tarver, and Steve Kinderick. It was almost a brotherly bonding, not always smooth and peaceful, but always caring about each other. I was fortunate enough to be a part of The Noahs Ark adventures in Panama City, Fla., through the Nolley Methodist Youth, in which Matt attended several years. I mention this because I Really think that Matt first realized he was not alone in this old world. One night at Noah's Ark, I caught Matt outside after hours. He knew he was caught doing something that he shouldn't. I didn't get upset with Matt, I sat down beside him. We looked up at thousands of stars, and never said a word. Then after several minutes, went inside, arm and arm. A special moment for Me and Matt.

Our entire staff is deeply saddened from the loss of one of our best and most devoted team memebers. He has been a part of our Graham Cracker family for so many years and he was a loyal, honest and dedicated person that we relied on for so many things. Matt would always do additional things, and do anything extra we asked with a smile. He was much more than an employee, he was a great friend to all of us. Our prayers go out to lillie, sue, elizabeth and the kids, and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing matt.

I am truly sorry for your loss. We have all lost a true friend. We lost touch with Matt but kept up with him through Jeff. No matter how long it was since you last saw Matt, you picked up right where you left off. I will never forget that smile.....
