Larry Gene Mcfatrich Sr.

Age 72, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his son's home in Farmington. He was born November 20, 1945 in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of Honce Manual and Ethel Loreane (Moon) McFatrich.

Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was a platoon leader for Company A of the 4th Infantry. Following his service in Vietnam he returned stateside to be a drill instructor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a dedicated family man, raising two young boys on his own and adopting his daughter from a previous marriage. He had a strong work ethic and demonstrated long term commitment to his jobs at the railroad and Danaher Tools. Larry demonstrated strong commitment to his church including monetary donations. He was involved in numerous clubs related to his hobbies such as PGCC Motorcycle Ministry and various veterans associations.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two sons Larry McFatrich and wife Shawna of Farmington and Chris McFatrich and wife Britni of Prairie Grove; one daughter Nichole Tennant of California; an adopted son Daniel Botello of Norfolk, Virginia; three brothers Jim McFatrich and wife Wilda of Farmington, Don McFatrich and wife Barbara of Heber Springs, and Bob McFatrich and wife Judy of Buckner, Missouri; six grandchildren Aiden Matthew, Emerie Kate, Cloey Christine, Brooklynn Don, and Brandon Lee and one great grandchild.
