He was an awesome father in law and would always tell it like it was, never held anything back, good man through and through, haven't seen him in years but I have a lot of good memories. Sorry for your losses, love to all the family.
Angie Darling - Friend
I'm going to miss Grandpa dearly. He had the biggest heart, and was the sincerest person I have ever met. Every story he told us would end in a cup of coffee. He taught me so much about fishing, carpentry, and most importantly how to be a good man. My summer's growing up with him were the best. From leaving early in the morning in the old fishing van, to either a job site, or going to Beaver Lake to fish. Or when he taught me how to properly build a coffee table, which is now is in my living room. Or the time we swamped the boat in Bud Kidd Lake when it was white capping on the lake, just so we could spend time together while I was home on leave. I will cherish every memory I had with him. I love him very much.
Douglas Smothers - Grandson
