Obituary
JoAnn Sargent, 70, a resident of Lincoln, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. She was born October 5, 1947 in Omak, Washington, the daughter of Henry and Pauline (McChristian) Thornsberry.
JoAnn was employed by Kearny Electric for many years, then later worked at Butterfield and Peachtree Village assisted living. She attended church with her husband, at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church near Prairie Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Kenneth Thornsberry.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Jerry Sargent; two daughters, Tammy Vaughn and husband Mike of Little Rock and Paula Harmond and husband Bill of New Albany, Mississippi; two sisters, Barbara Kay Grigg and husband Clayton, of North Carolina and Renea Taylor of West Fork her mother-in-law, Laverne Sargent; six grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Karsyn, Alana, Gracie and Mason; two step sons, Justin Sargent and Brad Sargent; and many friends and loved ones. "We will miss you, our sweet JoAnn, your fighting spirit is a lesson for all of us".
The family will receive friends Monday, December 4th, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 5th, 2017, at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church near Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.
