My heart aches for you Julie and you brothers I just drove by your mom's house last week and remembered all them good memories of the motel life My thought love and prayers are with you.
Ezola Stanley - Friend
I love you so much JoAnn Pennington. Thank you for everything you taught me about life, love, family, appreciating the simple things, to love God and have faith, hard work, being a good neighbor, cooking, canning, taking care of my kids and most of all - loving and taking care of me like a daughter. Now go rest high on a mountain, your work on earth is through. I will see you again, but I will miss you till then.
Darby Bemrose - daughter-n-law
I love you Granny Jo. Don't tell anyone, but you were always my favorite granny! You taught me more on this earth than anyone expect maybe Mom, but even then you were teaching me because you taught her everything, too. You are so deeply a part of me that there is no possible way to separate you from me. You molded and enriched my life every single day, and your legacy continues in me today and will continue for generations to come. You taught me skills that became my passion in life, and you have fueled my success and talents since I was a little girl. You taught me honesty, integrity, hard work, to finish what I start, to make something out of nothing, to make plenty out of little, not to be wasteful with what God has blessed me with, to count my blessings...I can't even list it all because it is so deeply engraved upon my mind, my heart and my soul. Some of the best moments of my life were sitting with you in your rocking chair learning how to do embroidery, word searches, reading the Bible and listening to weather radio. I think I sat right there in that chair with you until I was a teenager I loved it so much! I love you, Granny, and you are desperately missed. But, I know you wouldn't come back now even if you could. Give Papa a big fat kiss for me. I will see you again someday. Love your little Shannon Roo.
Shannon - Granddaughter
I had the privilege of meeting Julie's mom a few times. She was a strong, hard-working woman and she raised one heck of a daughter. I thank her for making Julie who she is today. She will be missed by her family and friends - I know. My heart goes out to all of them.
Suzette Taylor - Friend of Julie's
We stopped to see JoAnn in June when we came to Strickler and I am so happy we were able to visit for a while with her. She was a very dear friend of mine for many, many years. I know she is in heaven now with Olen but we will miss her. May God bless all of you and keep you in His care.

Granny Jo I love you so very much. You were the most straight forward, hard working, God fearing, and sassy woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. You taught to me to be a strong woman and not to complain about work, but to appreciate the fact that I had work to do. I will forever miss your cooking and those looks when you thought someone was trying to pull a fast one on you! You accepted me as familly and loved me openly just the same. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but your love leaves memories that no one can steal. May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow. May the soft winds freshen your spirit. May the sunshine brighten your heart. May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you, and may God enfold you in the mantle of His love. You will be forever missed but never forgotten. I will see you again some day, but until then don't forget to look down on us from time to time. I love you.
Carmen Bemrose - Grandaughter
