Jimmy Charles Gibney
65, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away December 5, 2006, at Springdale, Arkansas. He was born August 18, 1941, at Denver, Colorado, the son of William Ernest and Ruby E. Phillips Gibney.
Jimmy attended the Little Elm Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired Major with the United States Air Force. He was active in many fund raisers and had a great love of fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Gibney.
Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Joy Gibney of the home; three sons, Kevin Gibney of Boise, Idaho, Derek Gibney and Alex Gibney both of the home; one daughter, Julie Bradley of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Dale Gibney of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Michael Gibney of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; his mother, Ruby Gibney of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three grand daughters, Megan Bradley, Olivia Bradley, and Alexa Bradley.
Visitation will begin Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2006 - 10:00 A.M. at the Little Elm Missionary Baptist Church, Farmington, Arkansas, with brother Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery Fayetteville, Arkansas, with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be Richard Hamby, Mark Cate, Larry Blakemore, Lonnie Blakemore, C.H. Miller, and Gary Gibney.
